The Eco-friendly Solid-Liquid Separation Spiral Screw Sludge Dewatering Machine QXDL-301 is a fully automatic dewatering unit designed for continuous operation in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. The system employs a low-speed rotating spiral shaft enclosed within a set of moving and stationary laminating rings. As sludge advances through the screw, the decreasing pitch creates progressive compression, extracting free and bound water. The filtrate passes through the ring gaps while dewatered cake is discharged at the outlet. The self-cleaning differential motion between rings prevents clogging, eliminating the need for high-pressure backwash systems and reducing water consumption.

How does the self-cleaning mechanism work without external water?

This continuous relative motion prevents material accumulation on the filtration surface, eliminating the need for high-pressure backwash systems and reducing overall water consumption.
What is the expected lifespan of the ring stack?
Under normal operating conditions with feed sludge containing minimal abrasive particles, the ring stack typically provides 15,000-20,000 hours of service. Regular inspection every 2,000 hours is recommended. When ring gap clearance exceeds 0.5mm, replacement of individual ring segments is required. All contact parts are fabricated from wear-resistant stainless steel to extend operational life.
Can this machine process polymer-conditioned sludge only?
While the QXDL-301 operates effectively with polymer-conditioned sludge, it can also process unconditioned sludges with higher solids content. For optimal performance, a PAM integrated dosing device is recommended upstream. The machine's variable frequency drive allows adjustment of screw speed to accommodate variations in sludge rheology and conditioning levels.
